Connecting your blog to Facebook and Twitter is a great way to get your blogs out to the greatest number of people in the least amount of time. Whether you’re nurturing a budding writing career, need a comfortable place to vent your views of the world, plan to pitch your two cents on something important, or offering your know how on something useful. Connecting your main social media accounts is a great way to keep everyone informed, get your voice out there and maybe even make a difference. The easiest way to get all of your media on the same page is to find the applications listed in your account and or settings part of your media of choice and grant access. In Twitter this is found under settings, and lists a slew of applications that can be hitched to Twitter for the latest in whatever access you’re granting. The process is similar for most blog sites, and these days every other site, especially involving commentary, gives an option to connect with Facebook. Check out blog hosting sites such as LiveJournal, Blogger and WordPress to determine which ones will meet your needs. As you are deciding which site to use, it is also a good idea to network with other bloggers to get tips on how to get started and keep up to date on the blogosphere. Consider what you would like to write about. Which topics are you interested in, and which particular niche do you want to pursue? It is important to know your audience, especially if you are interested in eventually having a commercial blog. Once you have decided on your niche, choose a catchy, creative blog title that not only reflects the subject of your writing, but that also attracts readers to your site. While there are lots details available about webcams, editing videos etc some of the basics often get overlooked. Here are a few simple tips to help you and others get the most from your vlog. Make Sure You Clean Up When you write a traditional blog, no one can see you as you go about putting down your thoughts, but with a vlog you and where you chose to video are on full display. Everyone has their own style and way of life, but a visibly dirty area or vlogger can put off viewers, and they may even become more focused on the way things look than what you have to say. Get Good Lighting If you’re making a vlog people are going to want to see you or what you’re talking about. Ensure that your lights are bright enough so that viewers aren’t struggling to make out what they are watching. Check Your Setup When you’ve determined how you will setup for your vlog, it’s a good idea to make a test video to see if there are any problems that need to be fixed, such as sound or lighting issues.
